Course Description:

LIBR 553 CURRICULUM AND THE LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER (Three Hours, Fall, Odd Years) This course is a study of the utilization and integration of the Library Media Center in the curriculum of a school in order to meet the many needs of diverse learners. Attention is given to developing curriculum and instructional techniques and strategies unique to library media specialists. Emphasis is placed on the role of reading and literature, information processing, and academic achievement issues.
