Course Description:

EDSP 403/503 INTRO TO AUTISM: EVIDENT PRACTICES IN TEACHING & INTERVENTIONS This web course is designed to acquaint students with autism, and the criteria involved in assessing appropriate practices in intervention, and therapy. Based upon the knowledge, and understanding of the Spectrum of Autism the students will be able to develop a working base in which to better promote a child's individual learning profile. The areas of Cognition, Communication, Behavior, and Social Skill acquisition will be addressed so the student will be able to utilize these in developing a holistic approach in the treatment of Autism. Students taking this course for graduate credit must complete all graduate course requirements. Three hours, Fall, Spring
